MagisTV is one of the most popular apps for watching live TV channels, movies, and series on your mobile device. But since it's not on the Play Store, it often requires manual updates . If you don't do this properly, you may encounter errors, crashes, or even stop the app from working.
Step 1: Check the current version you have
Before upgrading, it's good to know which version you're using.
- Open the MagisTV App
- Go to menu or settings
- Search for “Version” or “About the app”
Write down the number. If there's already a newer one online, it's time to update.
Step 2: Download the latest version from a trusted source
Never download APKs from just any site. Use known and secure sites.
- Go to the official site or a trusted APK portal
- Search MagisTV APK latest version
- Download the latest .apk file
Step 3: Enable installation from unknown sources
If you've never installed an app outside of the Play Store, you'll need to enable this option:
- Go to Settings > Security
- Tap Installing Unknown Apps
- Enable permission for the browser or file manager you used to download
This way you can install the APK without blocking.
Step 4: Install the new APK on top of the old one
Don't delete the old version. Just do this:
- Open the .apk file you downloaded
- Tap Install
- Wait for the process to finish
By installing on top, you won't lose your settings or favorite channels.
Step 5 (optional): Clear cache after updating
Sometimes a new app carries over bugs from the previous version. To avoid this:
- Go to System Settings > Apps > MagisTV
- Tap Storage
- Click Clear Cache
Just the cache, don't clear the data if you don't want to lose your session.
What if an error occurs?
If after installing the app, it doesn't open or gives errors:
- Restart your cell phone
- Clear cache
- If it still fails, uninstall completely and install from scratch.
